So, in the first stage of super saiyan 4 Gogeta can actually stand up to Rigor, although he was admittedly not at his best in this fight because of the"suspended animation" thing... All things considered, I'm guessing Ascended SSJ4 Gogeta could probaby own Rigor in a matter of minutes, so after this saga Rigor shouldn't pose much of a threat... unless he gets a massive Zenkai and comes back twice as strong as he is now. Or, the fusion time elapses faster because of the greater power output.
He absolutely doesn't need to double his Strength do defeat Gogeta. He must only get a little bit stronger. The Ascended Stage is not so much stronger than the normal One. It's only a little Boost, making Preparations to unlock SSJ5.
Sorry here. I never really got how much it shall be. Malik seems to have let that completely open. But "only" since a State that got not completely left behind just "strengthens" to some Extent, i don't believe this is like a entirely new State. Please don't mistake - i write this out of Respect for the Supersayanlevels.
Well, making an educated guess, I'd say that "ascended SSJ4" and "true SSJ4" are (proportionally) to the fourth level what "ascended super saiyan" and "ultra super saiyan" are for the first, at least in terms of strenght increase...
Long shot, but some sources state Vegeta was already able to turn super saiyan 2 before the beginning of the Majin Buu saga: after all, he was confident he could beat Gohan, and Gohan was the first known super saiyan 2. Therefore, when Babidi enhanced his power he made him stronger than a regular super saiyan 2... also, looking at Majin Vegeta with all those exposed veins and his eyes circled in black, he looked slightly different as well...
You realise that Gohan did not train at all between the Cell Games and the Buu Saga? Or just unbelievable less? Vegeta was confident because Gohan did nothing but to study.
I think Majin-State is a bit like Mystic-State. It is a Enhancement of Power already existent, enhancing just and "only those" Energy/Potential in someone. Vegeta's Potential is that he has a "serious Hang to be/go evil" - and this manifested in his Chi over the Years, is my Thought.
Not everyone can become "Majin"-Enhanced - even if everyone can gain Power from the Mystic Ritual of old Kaioshin. It was much like the Sith from Star Wars, Yes? The dark Shades/Lines around the Eyes, the bulky Veins ... ... ... ... Not hard to guess, i think - but the Majin-State/Enhancement looks very unhealthy. Good Vegeta lost it when he died.
I agree with the statements that Vegeta could turn SSJ2 before Babidi's spell. The only thing that the spell did was kinda like what Elder Namek did to Gohan and Krillin and just unleashed some hidden power reserves, but it didn't release the power of SSJ2 to Vegeta as he had it already. It only made him strong enough to face Goku on equal footing well SSJ2 Goku that is.
Also Ascended SSJ4 Gogeta is twice as powerful as this Gogeta cause Ascended SSJ4 is twice more powerful than normal SSJ4 transformation
